Modelling and Optimization of Energy Consumption in Software Systems

My thesis aims to shed light on the energy consumption of software systems. The widespread adoption of software has led to rapidly increasing energy use, with significant environmental impacts. At the same time, rising electricity costs further highlight the need to better understand how energy consumption is influenced by hardware and software configurations. These relationships are often complex, so my work focuses on scenarios where energy savings are especially relevant, such as repetitive tasks in continuous integration pipelines and software testing.
