Researchers often use different tools to analyze, transform and generate source code, sometimes even written in different programming languages. The problem is to integrate these tools.
Rascal is a metaprogramming language that solves this problem. Using Rascal, meta programs can be easily created, understood, and debugged by programmers. Rascal is embedded in the Eclipse IDE, allowing it to easily access, manipulate and analyze the metadata of programs loaded in the IDE.
