Essays on the Benefits, Disadvantages, and Risks concerning the Production and Usage of Open Government Data (OGD)

As part of my cumulative dissertation, I analyse the publication and use of Open Government Data from an integrated ecosystem perspective. I develop conceptual frameworks to structure key actors, value creation mechanisms, as well as fostering and hindering factors within the OGD landscape. Methodologically, I combine systematic literature reviews, qualitative interviews, and quantitative approaches. I consider Linked Data both as a specific data format and as a data management paradigm within the broader context of open data infrastructures.
